WWII Bomber Hangar
The 33,000-sf Bomber Hangar is an open span hangar with 106-ft segmented sliding doors on two sides and a ceiling height of 30-ft from floor to beams. Partially remodeled in 2018, the hangar received a new roof, lighting, heating system, and expanded restroom facilities, as well as additional power, painting, and flooring. Hangar floor is partially epoxied. There are several offices, a tool room, machine shop space, conference room, and breakroom. There is an additional 10,000 sf (5,000 on each side) of unused mezzanine space. Hoist appears to still be mounted on crossbeam but has not been used in many years. Modern fire suppression system would need to be installed, but installation is negotiable based on the terms of the lease. The hangar has a marked-off hover pad to the east and an large concrete apron to the north. Airport has a 26-acre apron (over 1.1 million sf), so aircraft parking is never a problem. Eastern Oregon Regional Airport (in Pendleton) is 2,300 acres with two runways (primary 6,300 ft.) and an ILS system. It has an ATC Tower that is staffed 14 hours per day. The terminal is home to Elvis's Restaurant, two rental car options, and a UAS training school. Boutique Air makes 3 roundtrip flights daily to Portland International Airport (PDX), the only subsidized air service in the Northwest. Airfield enjoys two fuelers, an ARFF (fire) station, and several top A&P mechanics.
